Theoretical Basis

RLC series circuit, input \(V_{in}=1\angle0^\circ\),
Impedance \(Z = R + j(\omega L - \frac{1}{\omega C})\),
\(|U_R| = \frac{R}{|Z|},\ |U_L| = \frac{\omega L}{|Z|},\ |U_C| = \frac{1}{\omega C |Z|}\).
At resonance, \(U_L\) and \(U_C\) have equal magnitudes and may exceed the input voltage.

Characteristic Interpretation

• Resonant frequency \(f_0 = \frac{1}{2\pi\sqrt{LC}}\), where \(U_R\) is maximum and \(U_L=U_C\).
• Quality factor \(Q = \frac{1}{R}\sqrt{\frac{L}{C}}\); higher \(Q\) produces sharper curves.
• Changing \(R, L, C\) updates curves in real time, demonstrating frequency selectivity.
